Sex toys organs sold to teenagers a concern

Xi'an (CNS) – Owning model genitalia in the form of sex toys has become a secret trend among some primary and secondary school students in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province.

Type the Chinese words for simulated sex organs into the search engine Google and over 100 million sites will pop up containing all kinds of information and advertisements.

A reporter from CNS visited the small retail stalls near a primary school in the western suburbs of Xi'an on March 18. Simulations of the breast, penis and other tricky amusements were openly displayed there.

"I have good bargains in stimulation models and toys." said one stall owner, who admitted most of the buyers are teenaged boys.

A number of kids admire what they think is fresh, exciting stuff, said a teacher surnamed Zhang from Xi'an No.39 Middle School. Sometimes the teachers are stunned by the indecency of the toys they confiscate in class.

Teenagers are clearly satisfying their curiosity about the adult world, said Xu Jianguo, chairman of Xi'an Education Association, but he is concerned that they will get addicted to these things, which might damage them physically and psychologically.

At present, China has no law to restrict the production of such toys and there is growing concern that their use may produce a negative impact on people's minds, especially in the case of the young and inexperienced. Experts are calling on businessmen to behave morally and ethically, and keep teenagers away from the items.
