Hangzhou (CNS) -- Hangzhou's city tourism authority recently agreed to cooperate with German multinational Touristik Union International (TUI AG), to invite 40 pairs of engaged German couples to enjoy an oriental wedding and honeymoon. The capital of east China's Zhejiang province is considered a parallel "paradise on earth" with its famous tourism twin destination of Suzhou.

All the fortunate newly-weds are offered free five-star hotel rooms, as well as a unique Chinese mass wedding ceremony, according to the agreement.

The charmed locale is one of Chinese residents' favorite honeymoon destinations on the Chinese mainland, where uncountable love stories or legends have been set. No surprise that it has developed a mature chain of wedding services, said Wang Xinzhang, deputy director of the tourism authority.

The city of romance is expected to achieve a higher international profile via such cooperative international programs, planed the authority.

Another endeavor is the exhibition of a micro-model of the city's signature scenic area West Lake on the Internationale Tourismus-Broese Berlin, which unveiled on Wednesday and is entitled the world's largest tourism trade fair.
