Changsha (CNS) – Hong Kong Disneyland welcomed 5.94 million visitors in 2011, mainland visitors accounting for 45 percent of that total, said Jin Minhao, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort on February 8.

Last November's opening of the Asia-exclusive attraction Toy Story Land is credited for helping Hong Kong Disneyland earn two-digit growth, and it continues to expand its number of major attractions with the globally exclusive Grizzly Gulch set to open this summer, while the ribbon on Mystic Point is will be cut later next spring.

Since China launched high-speed train lines along the Wuhan-Guangzhou-Shenzhen routes, mainland citizens, and in particular those from central China, have convenient and economical ways to reach Hong Kong.

This is good opportunity for us to explore the vast mainland market, said Jin Minhao, confirming that Hong Kong Disneyland will set up more sales offices in the Pearl River Delta region and increase cooperation with tourism agencies along the lines mentioned above.
