Beijing (CNS) – Over the next five years Beijing will seek wider cooperation with China's embassies and overseas associations to establish contact with overseas talent.

Educational background, job title and status will not be the only factors recruiters weigh in their selection of human resources from home and abroad, according to the Beijing Talent Introduction Plan during the 12th Five-year Plan period released by Beijing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on December 28.

Introduced talent is expected to have worries about housing and their offspring's education, so these will be considered by the government for preferential resolution, said deputy director of the bureau Song Fengjing, adding that widely recognized talents are encouraged to apply for the Beijing's Senior Engineer Certificate, without any limitations like a degree or qualifications in computer science or foreign languages.

The plan released some information about the diverse fields where talent is urgently needed in Beijing; they include information technology, biology, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, high-tech industry, education and sanitation.

High-end talent on Beijing's payroll numbered about 4900 by the end of 2010 and consisted of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts with special contributions in social fields. Song was quoted as saying that the number will increase to 6000 by 2015.
