Tokyo (CNS) – A wealth of activities have been planned for 2012 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. The Palace Museum of China will exhibit plenty of precious antiques at the Tokyo National Museum from January 2 to February 19 next year, when China's esteemed painting "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" will be exhibited overseas for the first time. Its exhibition runs from January 2 to 24.

More than 200 historical Chinese relics will be showcased in Tokyo, of which half are classified as national heritage treasures, including painting, calligraphy, pottery, bronzework, lacquer, enamelware and batik garments.
