Telecommunications sector sees growth despite challenges

China's telecommunications industry recorded total revenues of about 1.4168 trillion yuan ($198.4 billion) from January to October, marking a year-on-year growth of 6.9 percent despite challenges, according to the country's top industry regulator.

Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that China's 5G mobile subscribers had exceeded 754 million by the end of October, a net increase of 193.6 million compared to the end of the previous year.
