Products of Micron Technology, a US-based global supplier of semiconductors, sold in China have not passed a recent cybersecurity review, and operators of China's key information infrastructure should stop purchasing its products, said Cyberspace Administration of China in a statement on Sunday.
The review found that Micron's products have serious hidden problems of network security, which has caused a significant security risk to the key information infrastructure supply chain in China, it said.
In March, the cybersecurity review office announced its intention to carry out a cybersecurity review of the company's products based on the National Security Law, the Cyber Security Law and the Cyber Security Review Measures.
The purpose of reviewing Micron's products is to prevent the product network security issues from endangering the security of the national key information infrastructure, which is a necessary measure to safeguard national security, said the statement.
China is committed to high-level opening-up and welcomes foreign companies, products and services on various platforms to enter the Chinese market as long as they abide by Chinese laws and regulations, it said.
