Chinese people are used to online shopping at any time of the year because of the country's powerful and fast logistics system, and most of China's logistics firms have pledged that they will not stop service during the Chinese New Year.

Many major hotpot brands are now on China's e-commerce website to sell condiments across the country, and they are not resting for the Spring Festival, the Chinese lunar New Year. According to China's State Post Bureau, the country's top 10 logistics companies had an average domestic delivery time of 56 hours. Mailing between major cities can take even shorter time.
What helps with a faster delivery speed in the past five years have been the establishment of major dispatch centers in China's major logistic hubs. In one of the distribution centers in Shanghai that belongs to the company ZTO, the system can process over 1 million packages per day, and when online shopping seasons come, it can process up to 7 million per day.
The packages are placed on these conveyer belts that move two meters per second, and the computer controlled bar code scanner blinks six times per second, which manages to determine the destination of each package. ZTO, one of the biggest logistics firms in China, has 79 of these distribution centers across the country.
