Global retailer Carrefour on Thursday denied media reports that it will sell its businesses in China, Argentina and Poland, Reuters reported.
The information is false, a group spokesman said, when asked about a report by French monthly magazine Capital.
Carrefour, which entered the Chinese mainland in 1995, has been dealt a blow in China by cooperation between its French rival Auchan and Chinese Internet giant Alibaba, and investors may pressure the company to retreat from the country, according to Capital.
