Apple's latest iPhones are suffering again from users' recent complaints – a number of new owners have reported to Apple, saying that their phone calls are disrupted by a "crackling" or "static" sound.
According to some comments on online tech forums, the audio problem occurs on iPhone 8 models, mainly when users are on regular calls or using Facetime function, but is not present when using the earpiece as loudspeaker. Based on those symptoms, some specialists suggested that software, instead of hardware, should be blamed for the audio problem.
It does not manifest in every call, however, and only "happens on one out of every three calls," reported the Business Insider. At the same time, some tech media pointed out that the problem seems to affect new iPhones across various carriers in different regions.
Apple on Tuesday has issued a statement confirming the bug and promised to fix it as soon as possible.
"We are aware of the issue which is affecting customers in a small number of cases. Our team is at work on a fix, which will be included in an upcoming software release," said Apple in a statement.
In fact, it is not the first glitch for Apple's new products in September.
Last week, the new version of Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE is reported to fail to connect the device with cellular network sporadically. In the past, the watch's LTE cellular connectivity is always regarded as a big selling point for Apple's watch.
