British ambassador to hand Brexit letter to EU

European Council President Donald Tusk said Wednesday that he will be handed a Brexit notification letter on the same day, which marks the official beginning of Britain's exit from the EU.

"At 13:20 today (11:20 GMT), UK #Brexit notification letter (article 50) will be handed to me by (British) Ambassador Tim Barrow," Tusk tweeted.

Tusk will make a statement at 13:45 (11:45 GMT) on the notification letter, according to his weekly schedule posted on his Twitter account.

British Prime Minister Theresa May on Tuesday signed the notification letter.
