China and Germany will discuss foreign exchange, mutual investment and other issues on China-European Union (EU) economic exchanges at the seventh Hamburg Summit, according to the Hamburg Liaison Office China.

The summit is scheduled for Nov. 23 and 24 this year in the northern German city of Hamburg. Senior officials, entrepreneurs and leading scholars from China and the EU will attend the summit, said Lars Anke, chief representative of the Hamburg Liaison Office China, at a news briefing on Thursday.

Discussions, keynote speeches and panel meetings will focus on various topics, including the fallout from Brexit, China's economic transition, the Belt and Road Initiative and boosting efficiency in industrial manufacturing, Anke said.

Initiated by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce in 2004, the biennial summit will be titled "China meets Europe" this year and serve as an important platform for discussing China-EU economic cooperation.
