Huang Guangyu, founder of Gome Group, will be released from prison early for "good behavior," the Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday, citing a ruling of the Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court.
The judgment will reduce Huang's sentence to 12 years and three months, which will end on February 16, 2021, Xinhua said.
Huang was sentenced in 2010 to 14 years for bribery, insider trading and illegal business dealings.
