With the World Internet Conference opening in East China's Wuzhen on Wednesday, CCTV spoke to a few major players to hear their views on the industry's growth.[Special coverage]

Soft global demand has eased China's exports. Manufacturers are trying to sell their goods to domestic consumers, but a lack of sales channels is proving to be difficult...until they cooperate over the Internet.

Taobao.com, the e-commerce arm of Internet giant Alibaba, has put forward a proposal of "Quality Made in China", which aims at nurturing home-grown brands. The move caters to many local manufacturers, as they have been struggling with the rising costs of producing goods for well-known global companies such as Nike and Adidas.

Alibaba has also put out initiatives to feed agricultural consumption, linking farmers to the outside world. Those who don't have access to the Internet now can acquire what they need with a few clicks.

Higher technology is the reason why the Internet can bring life to a moribund company.....and this is seen as a key driver of China's growth.

And a driverless car is under its final test in the city of Wuzhen, where the World Internet Conference will be held. It can start, pause, and make turns around obstacles. This technology comes from Internet company, Baidu.

The Chinese government has put forward the Internet-plus strategy, hoping to use technology to lift the country's industrial growth.

Chinese online travel agency, Ctrip, has just received one billion US dollars in funding, boosting this year's total financing to two billion dollars.

Analysts believe that besides technology and the environment, talent is the most important factor to strengthen an economy. They feel, through the growth of the Internet -- and its spirit of creativity and innovation -- China will have a batch of companies and even industries that are of China and for China.
