Uber China, a Chinese affiliate of the U.S.-based technologies firm Uber Inc, announced Tuesday that the company has reached a strategic partnership with Ding Talk, a mobile messaging app developed by Alibaba Group Holding.

Uber China has become an authenticated user of Ding Talk and it will open its application program interface to users of the messaging app, according to an e-mail Uber China sent to the Global Times Tuesday.

Liu Zhen, who is in charge of Uber's strategy in the country, noted that a service designed for enterprises called Uber for Business (U4B) will be launched earlier next year, with the aim of providing cheaper but qualified services to enterprises. By joining Ding Talk, which targets small and medium-sized enterprises, U4B is expected to lower companies' costs, she noted.
