American Express and China CITIC Bank have launched the CITIC American Express Platinum Card for business people, tourists and overseas students traveling to the United States.

The card offers a range of exclusive benefits and services to customers, including free foreign exchange transactions and bumper reward points on overseas spending.

In addition, card members will have access to China CITIC Bank's U.S. visa application service and American Express' exclusive international education service platform.

"We're excited to be working closely with China CITIC Bank in order to bring together their local expertise with our global resources, to offer our mutual customers enhanced benefits and services they're looking for," Dave Keung, president of American Express Co's China operation, said.

"This card gives us even more to offer China CITIC Bank's customers and it also begins a new page for our long-term partnership."

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, or DOC, more than 1.8 million Chinese tourists visited the country last year.

With 10-year multiple entry visa open to Chinese applicants, DOC forecasts that inbound travelers from China will reach 7.3 million in 2021.
