The Ministry of Commerce has released its e-commerce trading volume data for 2014, and it has shown that online trading has risen substantially even as China's economic growth comes under pressure.

The ministry said that the total online trading volume surpassed 13 trillion yuan last year, an almost 30% increase on 2013. Online retail sales rose doubled, and approached three trillion yuan for the year which was almost 12 percent of the total retail sales of social consumer goods last year. And to further promote e-commerce in the country, the Ministry of Commerce will be adopting more favorable conditions in the future.
