China aims to explore overseas markets to export its railway and nuclear power equipment, which will be a new growth point for foreign trade, according to a State Council meeting chaired by Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday.

Chinese companies can provide services including design and consulting, construction, equipment supply, operation and maintenance of railway and nuclear power projects, said a statement posted on the central government's website.

The country will also support enterprises in the steel, nonferrous, construction materials and light textiles sectors to build production lines overseas, according to the statement.
