Oil prices rebound after sharp decline

Oil prices rebounded Monday as traders bought the dip after prior day's heavy sell-off.

Light, sweet crude for March delivery gained 1.31 U.S. dollars to settle at 47.78 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
