Oil prices plunge as IMF lowers growth forecast

Oil prices fell Tuesday as the International Monetary Fund cut its global growth outlook.

Light, sweet crude for February delivery plummeted 2.3 U.S. dollars to settle at 46.39 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
