Crude prices fall before OPEC meeting

Crude prices dropped on Wednesday ahead of a meeting of Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) which will be held in Vienna on Thursday with the group's responses to a supply glut high on the agenda.

Light, sweet crude for January moved down 40 cents to settle at 73.69 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
