Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said that he would come to Beijing during the APEC summit to discuss the stock pilot tie-up program between Shanghai and Hong Kong, domestic news portal cnstock.com reported Tuesday.

Leung was quoted by the report as saying that pilot program of connecting the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock markets is very important to Hong Kong, and expects to seek approval from the central government for the launch of the program.

The tie-up is regarded as a landmark in the opening-up of the mainland's capital markets, and would mutually benefit.
