Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it is issuing five new safety recalls covering more than 200,000 vehicles in North America due to problems ranging from airbag sensors to fuel leaks and fire risks.

The biggest of the recalls affects about 135,000 F-150 pickups and Ford Flex family haulers from the 2014 model year in North America for a passenger seat sensing issue that could result in non-deployment of the passenger airbag in certain frontal crashes, the company said in a statement.

Another recall involved some 27,600 Ford Transit Connect vehicles from the 2014 model year in North America for potentially incorrect fuel and vapor line routing, the statement said.

Ford is also recalling approximately 38,600 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car vehicles from the 2005- 2011 model year in North America because they may have been improperly repaired during a previous safety recall for an issue with the lower intermediate steering shaft, the statement added.

A safety compliance recall is being issued for approximately 950 Ford F-150 vehicles from the 2014 model year in North America for a brake pedal position switch that may be incorrectly adjusted, possibly resulting in a delay or a non-illumination of the brake lights when the brake pedal is depressed.

The automaker is also issuing a safety recall for around 90 2015 Ford Transit vehicles in North America for an issue with the bracket which holds the fuel filter to the frame, the statement reads.

The company said the problems have caused one accident, but it' s not aware of injuries in any of the cases.
