China's CPI up 2 pct in August  

统计局：8月全国居民消费价格总水平同比涨2.0%

据国家统计局网站消息，2014年8月份，全国居民消费价格总水平同比上涨2.0%。其中，城市上涨2.0%，农村上涨1.9%；食品价格上涨3.0%，非食品价格上涨1.5%；消费品价格上涨1.8%，服务价格上涨2.4%。[查看全文]

China's consumer price index, a main gauge of inflation, grew 2 percent year on year in August, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.

The August CPI growth rate was lower than the 2.3 percent seen in July.
