The 5th China-Eurasia Expo to be held in 2016

The 5th China-Eurasia Expo will be held in 2016. A biennial mode will be employed for the expo, said an official from China-Eurasia Expo Secretariat on September 5.

Li Jingyuan, secretary general of the China-Eurasia Expo Secretariat, Party secretary and director of Xinjiang International Exposition Affairs Bureau, revealed in an interview with news reporters. He also said the China-Eurasia Expo will launch a Eurasian International Commodity in the form of professional exhibitions in 2015.

Li said that the specialized exhibitions in 2015 will involve textile and garment industry, hardware and household appliances, agricultural products and food of Xinjiang characteristics,

large engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, vehicles and so on. "With the completion of the second phase of Xinjiang International Exhibition Center in 2016, the textile and garment industry will be highlighted in a whole-chain approach," he added.

The China-Eurasia Expo was upgraded form a region trade fair, the 19_year_old China Urumqi Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Fair, in September 2011 when the first international event was held.
