Chinese automaker Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co. Ltd (JAC) started delivering the components for 100 electric cars to the United States on Wednesday, part of a deal to supply 2,000 of the kits to U.S. firm GreenTech Automobile Inc (GTA).

JAC will deliver the remaining 1,900 iEV kits within a year, according to an agreement made in August with GTA. It plans to establish an assembly facility for the iEV sedan in Mississippi.

"America is the world's largest electric vehicle market and JAC's export is an important step for China's domestic auto brands to go global," said Yu Cairong, deputy general manager of JAC. ' JAC has sold more than 6,000 electric cars in China.
