Ezviz, an online service platform that provides video surveillance products and solutions to families and small and micro-businesses in China, joined hands with social network application Wechat to provide smart video camera services.

Affiliated to Hikvision Digital Technology Co Ltd, one of the world's leading suppliers of video surveillance products, Ezviz provides hardware services to Wechat users through its smart video camera. Users can watch online streaming from Ezviz's video cameras on Wechat platform with mobile devices; receive push messages notifications from the camera's movement censors and video-chat with friends who sit on the other end.

Through Ezviz cloud service, users can also share video streaming on Wechat platform through Ezviz's video camera.

Jiang Haiqing, vice president of Hikvision and CEO of Ezviz, told chinadaily.com.cn that the core value of Ezviz's products is a cloud service platform combined with smart video surveillance and censor.

"The smart hardware devices are on a beginning stage as we see all kinds of wearable devices emerge and woo the customers with the new idea," Jiang said. "However, I believe the perception of videos is more powerful than any other single smart hardware because being able to see and feel is the foundation of digital intelligence."

Earlier this month, Ezviz locked a deal with Chinese video and movie streaming site LeTV.com in a bid to enhance the users' interactive experience.

"Ezviz cloud can study and analyze the audience's age and habit through its camera and pass the information to the smart TV to play programs accordingly," Jiang said.

"For example, if the camera sensors a child sitting in front of the TV, it will pass the processed information to the TV to play cartoons and other programs that's most suitable to the audience's taste and send a notification when the child is watching TV for too long," according to Jiang.

Ezviz released its newest product S1 Domor on China Internet Conference on Wednesday. S1 is a wearable sports video camera that supports 3G/4G, GPS and Wi-Fi and allows users to share photos and video streaming with friends in real time.

According to Jiang, Ezviz's business in China is just starting and is seeing a great potential of further development.

"We will definitely cooperate more with industry leaders like Tencent and LeTV," Jiang said. "The potential of Ezviz's products and services are big in this market."

Ezviz is looking to expand its business overseas at the end of the year, said Jiang.
