Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has relaxed home purchase restrictions, said a statement published Tuesday on the website of the local housing authority.
There will be no restrictions on the number of residences people can buy and home purchases will be open to both locals and non-locals, according to the statement. Ningxia is the third provincial-level region to ease home purchase restrictions following East China's Fujian Province and Central China's Hunan Province.
The region's economy expanded by 7.4 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2014, lower than its other northwestern counterparts.
