Chinese authorities ruled on Wednesday that India dumped single-mode optical fibers in China after a year-long investigation and that an anti-dumping duty will be imposed.

According to the probe starting on Aug. 14, 2013, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) found that dumping caused material injuries to China's domestic industry, the MOC said in a statement.

Chinese importers of single-mode optical fibers from India will have to pay a duty from 7.4 percent to 30.6 percent in the five years from Thursday, the statement said.

The MOC launched the anti-dumping investigation last August in response to a petition filed by the domestic industry.
