The 15th annual Chinese Development Financing Lecture was held at Peking University on July 12 under the theme of "Developing Financing and Real Economy." Jointly conducted by Peking University's HSBC Business School and the China Association for Promotion of Development Financing (CAPDF), the forum was attended by more than 200 finance experts, teachers and students from Peking University's HSBC Business School.
Yao Zhongmin, vice-chairman of the CAPDF, said current economic conditions require financing for developing countries to be based on theorization, socialization and internationalization.
Hai Wen, dean of Peking University's HSBC Business School, noted the foundation had been laid for China's next phase of economic growth, but added there was still a "long way to go."
"I strongly believe China will complete its economic transformation and upgrade with everyone's efforts not long from now," Hai said.
