Premier Li confident on economy

China is capable of stepping over the middle-income trap and realizing mid- and high-speed growth for a long time, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said Tuesday at a convention for academicians.

To continue fast growth, innovation is crucial, Li noted. He also said that China's major economic indexes are all within a reasonable level so far this year and there have been positive changes in the economic restructuring.
