Chinese customers will soon be able to purchase the Tesla Model S via an installment plan with a down-payment of less than 200,000 yuan ($32,020), US electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors announced on Tuesday.
The payment service was jointly launched by Tesla and China Merchants Bank.
The minimum monthly payment could be as low as 12,220 yuan while customers could save on fuel and vehicle and vessel usage tax costs of up to 1,060 yuan every month.
