Ban on multiple taxi apps

Beijing Commission of Transport confirmed Thursday that it has requested the capital city's taxi drivers to use only one taxi-hailing app for safety reasons.

The new rule is aimed at regulating taxi drivers' usage of the taxi-hailing apps.

Many drivers use multiple apps by installing them on more than one device, and try to take the best orders in voice broadcasts from the different devices, hindering driving safety.
