China's FDI jumps 5.25 percent in 2013

China's foreign direct investment rose 5.25 percent year-on-year in 2013 to $117.59 billion, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.

December FDI inflow increased 3.3 percent year-on-year to $12.08 billion.

FDI inflow from the United States went up 7.13 percent year-on-year to $3.35 billion in 2013, and from the European Union it rose 18.07 percent to $7.21 billion.

Investment from 10 Asian economies increased by 7.09 percent to $102.52 billion.

However, FDI inflow from Japan declined 4.28 percent year-on-year to $7.06 billion in 2013.
