New energy auto industry boost

China will strengthen the policy support and create a favorable environment to boost the development of the country's renewable energy vehicle industry, said a statement posted on the central government's website over the weekend.

Speeding the development of the new energy vehicle sector could not only relieve pressure on the conventional energy consumption and environment protection, but also add a new growth engine to the economy, Vice Premier Ma Kai said in the statement.
