3G base stations, users surge in 2013

The number of new 3G base stations across the nation surpassed 240,000 in the first 11 months of last year, bringing the total to 1.06 million units, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said in a statement published on Sunday.

New fixed broadband users reached more than 17 million during the same period, raising the amount of users to 188 million, according to the MIIT.
