China Railway Group chairman dies

The chairman of China Railway Group Ltd Bai Zhongren died at his home Saturday, Securities Times reported Sunday.

The company's spokesperson has confirmed the information, but said the company's operations were normal, the report said. The report also said that Bai had been suffering depression for years, without disclosing the reason why he died.

Bai served as the chairman of the China Railway Group Ltd since June 2010. The group is involved in infrastructure construction, engineering equipment and property development.
