China United Property Insurance to establish agriculture lab

China United Property Insurance Co Ltd has signed a deal with the National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture to establish an agriculture insurance technology lab.

The cooperation between the two is aimed to introduce a geographical information system, through remote sensing, into agriculture insurance to improve accuracy and data collection.

A pilot program will be carried out in Shandong, Sichuan and Gansu provinces.
