China, Kuwait looking for expanding cooperation

As the honored guest of China-Arab States Expo, Kuwait held a China-Kuwait Cooperation Forum and is expecting to enlarge investment cooperation between the two nations. Enterprises from both nations also talked over cooperation in other key fields.

In 2012, trade between China and Kuwait reached 12.55 billion yuan, an increase of 11 percent from the previous year. Kuwait has invested 887 million U.S. dollars in 35 projects in China.

Kuwait has already become China's fifth biggest trade partner among the Arab nations, according to the deputy minister of Commerce of the PRC.

Kuwait also emphasized on promoting ties with China in politics, trade and culture, said Kuwaiti Ambassador Al-Thuwikh.

In order to provide opportunity for enterprises from both nations to communicate directly, the forum drew over 200 representatives. They discussed about potential field for cooperation.
