China's real estate market has a great chance to advance amid a policy vacuum in the next five quarters, an expert says.

Ding Zuyu, executive president of E-House (China) Holdings, forecasts that the central government won't release new policies to influence the property market in the coming five quarters.

This hands-off stance will enable the market to focus more on sustained and healthy development to face future challenges, Ding says.

The home price index tracked by China Real Estate Information Corp has risen for 16 consecutive months, with analysts saying the outstanding sales guarantee developers sufficient capital flow and have strengthened buyers' confidence.

"Without new policies emerging, home prices are stabilizing on sufficient supply and rational demand. I hope the Chinese real estate market will take advantage of this policy vacuum to make a self-correction," Ding said.
