2013 Fortune Global Forum concludes in Chengdu

The 3-day 2013 Fortune Global Forum has concluded in Chengdu in southwestern China.

China's economic reform garnered the spotlight at the Forum. Leading government officials, and CEOs from the world's top 500 firms spoke about the change of China's economic model, the development of China's western regions and investment opportunities in the Chinese market.

Innovation, social media, the high-tech sector and sustainable development were also high on the agenda. Participants also expressed their views on China's economic development.

Dominic Barton, CEO of Mckinsey & Company, said, "This is a very big drive of urbanization. There's only 52% of the deregulation to get out of the way to allow people to build things forward."

Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, said, "You can't necessarily do that from 10,000 miles away is really essential to really understanding what the market demand."
