China plans to focus more on employment for college graduates. At Wednesday's State Council meeting, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang emphasized the importance of improving employment conditions for young graduates.

This year is set to be the competitive ever for college graduates' jobs, nearly 7 million graduates will flood the labour market. The central government is encouraging society to create more positions for graduates, and guide them into small-and-medium firms.

What's more, graduates who want to start their own businesses will get both financial and policy support. At another meeting of the same day, Premier Li mentioned that there is only limited room for China to boost its economy using government spending and policy stimulus. He said the private sector should not be discouraged by headwinds at home and abroad.
