Dell touts China services

2013-03-27 14:20 Global Times     Web Editor: qindexing comment

US computer maker Dell Inc said that its after-sale service standard for China is higher than for other countries, technology portal tech.qq.com reported Tuesday.

In order to comply with Chinese after-sale regulations, Dell provides basic services in China that exceed its global average standard, said Bobbi Dangerfield, vice president of Dell's Global Relationship Business Operations.

Dell offers a warranty of up to one year on its products in most countries around the world, whereas in China, the warranty period is two years, according to Dangerfield.

Dell is the first foreign computer maker to detail its after-sale policies for China since Apple Inc was accused of providing Chinese customers with inferior services on March 15, the report said.
