HK retailers try to attract tourists

Hong Kong retailers have stepped up their efforts this year to increase sales.

The International Finance Center mall, in Hong Kong's Central District, has imported a device from Britain to create a scene of falling snow. Hundreds of artificial animals, including owl, squirrels, deer and others live in this snowy land.

A circus from Australia has also been invited to perform action-packed stunts.

Another landmark, Times Square, has built a huge Lego village consisting of houses, train, and gardens, scaled 1:20.

Retailers hope these novel and interesting theme events organized by shopping centers will bring 16 million yuan in extra consumption, and boost tourism even higher.
