(Ecns.cn)—All eyes are on homegrown Chinese fighters this year at the Singapore Airshow, the largest aerospace event in Asia, which began Tuesday at the city-state's Changi Exhibition Center.

Exhibiting companies include the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corp., the Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China, AMECO Bejing and the Beijing Youtaishuncheng Technology Development Co., which is attending the exhibition for the first time and will also attend the inaugural Unmanned Systems Showcase, according to organizers.

The companies have brought many top domestic aircraft, including the Xiaolong fighter jet, the L-15 Falcon (an advanced training aircraft) and the Yilong UAV. The display takes up a space of about 700 square meters, 50 percent larger than last year.
