Young people spend most on tourism

Young people are the main consumers of tourism, according to the survey. Willingness to spend is the strongest among the post-1990 generation, reaching 45.57 percent. But the post-1980 generation spends the most during traveling.

Northeastern people pay more attention to maintaining health

The willingness of the northeastern people to spend more on health has risen sharply since 2013 and reached historically high in 2018.

The followers are Qinghai, Chongqing, Xinjiang, Shandong and Shanxi. Shandong jumps to the fourth place from the 20th in 2017.

People in Wuhan spend most on education

The survey finds that people in Wuhan are more interested in educational training. 70.44 percent of people there show interest while around 70 percent want to increase their educational investment.

It's worthy to note that this central China city sitting along the Yangtze River also tops the list of the happiest cities.

Grandpas feel happier than grandmas

Statistics show that 46 percent of male interviewees above 60 feel happy while the female counterpart's number is 39.8 percent.

Happiest group: Post-1995 male entrepreneurs

The survey shows that college students and people of the post-1995 generation who just left campus is the happiest.

Those who chose to start up their own business after getting a bachelor's degree are the easiest to feel happy as 74.29 percent of them tick the choice.
