The hugely popular documentary "A Bite of China" is coming back with its third season and is scheduled to air daily starting Feb. 19 during the Spring Festival holiday, according to a launch conference held in Beijing.

Following the previous two seasons, "A Bite of China 3" will continue to depict the intricacies of and meaning behind Chinese food, as well as the relationship between food and people.

The season contains eight episodes, with each lasting about 50 minutes. Li Lihong will reprise his role as the narrator.

The vice head of China Central Television (CCTV) Wei Dichun said the third season "will keep being a window for the world to learn about China."
