Border authorities in China are investigating the crash of an Indian drone on Chinese territory, Xinhua reported on Thursday, citing a military official.
The spokesperson confirmed the crash but did not provide further information on when the incident happened, the location or the drone's mission.
"An Indian drone entered Chinese airspace and crashed, a move that violated Chinese territorial sovereignty and we strongly oppose it," the official was quoted as saying.
The spokesperson also said that an identity verification process of the crashed drone is underway.
China's military Thursday voiced strong dissatisfaction and opposition to the intrusion of an Indian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) into China's airspace. >>>
