China suffered another loss as they were crushed by Colombia 4-0 in Chongqing on Tuesday after a 2-0 defeat to Serbia four days ago.

Edgar Pardo's opener put the visitors in charge at half time. Carlos Bacca and Miguel Borja's brace sealed the matters after break.

Compared to the match against Serbia, China coach Marcello Lippi opted for a 4-3-3 formation and rested several players. Midfielders Wu Xi and Zhao Xuri moved in while Yu Dabao was started in a three-forward line spearheaded by Xiao Zhi.

Colombia's James Rodriguez was cut from the final squad and Villarreal's Hitman Bacca earned a position in the starting lineup.

Colombia pressed high from the start, trying to use their aggression and tempo to good effect. The visitors broke the deadlock just 6 minutes into the game as Pardo sent his low angled drive into the net after a great teamwork.

Wu Xi's looping pass released Wu Lei, but the best native striker of the year only saw his attempt wide of the left post.

Lippi made a tactical change in the second half, hauling off Xiao Zhi for Gao Lin.

Colombia's error sparked a counter on 54 minutes, resulting in Jose Cuadrado using his arm to parry Wu Lei's low drive in the box.

Moments later, Colombia doubled the lead as Bacca shook off China's defender after a Carlos Sanchez through pass and tipped the ball into the far corner.

The visitors added a third on 66 minutes as Bacca tipped an assist for substitute Borja to smash it into the top corner.

Borja was on target again in stoppage time as Wilmar Barrios sent Aviles Hurtado clear who squared to Borja for 4-0.
