Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, has revealed that she had suffered from postpartum depression after all three pregnancies.

"With each of my three children, I had some level of postpartum depression," she said in an interview for The Dr. Oz Show aired in full on Thursday.

"It was a very challenging, emotional time for me," the 35-year-old first daughter recalled, "because I felt I was not living up to my potential as a parent or as an entrepreneur or as an executive."

"I had had such easy pregnancies that in some way, the juxtaposition hit me even harder," she admitted.

"Look, I consider myself a very hard-charging person. I'm ambitious. I'm passionate. I'm driven. But this is something that affects parents all over the country," she told Dr. Oz.

"You need to jump all over this," she urged the audience.

"Depression doesn't discriminate: Not even Ivanka Trump, who possesses every advantage a working mother could have, is exempt from the mood disorder," a USA Today report commented.

Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, 36, have three children aged between one year old to six.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about one in nine U.S. women experience postpartum depression.
